Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for being a leader in sustaining the Bank's reputation as an ethical, responsible and integral member of the community.
  • Expand and retain both new and existing relationships by cross-selling services and partnering with appropriate Bank/Wintrust associates.
  • Participation on the Small Business Team.
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and marketing new products, and/or in making strategic product and marketing modifications.
  • Responsible for establishment and management of the sales performance of staff and achievement of sales goals, where applicable.
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings to communicate sales successes and marketing initiatives.
  • Represent the company in community/economic development activities and initiatives; ensure company visibility in all aspects of the community.
  • Ensure staff compliance with bank policies and government regulations by maintaining files, following internal audit, loan review, branch operations, and collection procedures. Adhere to operational controls including legal, corporate and regulatory procedures to ensure safety and security of customer and bank assets.
  • Qualify for, register and maintain mortgage lending originator (MLO) status with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing system and Registry (NMLS) according to the SAFE Act. Perform MLO activities in accordance with SAFE Act
  • Responsible for processing consumer loan requests, ensuring the staff has the appropriate documentation and understanding of loan products.
  • Maintain an understanding of CRA requirements and consistently work with other staff to reach our Charter's goal of Outstanding.
  • Travel between branches is required; some travel between banks may be necessary
  • Various other tasks as assigned

Experience Required:

  • Five or more years of experience managing in retail banking, or similar, environment.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential documents and situations
  • Requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Requires strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual English and Spanish speaking highly preferred.

Education required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; two year college degree or specialized training or equivalent work experience preferred.

Underwriter - Commercial Lending

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial information to assist loan officers in making subsequent lending decisions.
  • Assist lenders with preparing loan presentations for approval.
  • Assist loan officers in monitoring loan relationships for compliance with the Loan Agreement
  • Borrowing base monitoring
  • Work with Loan Officer to collect specific information necessary to make informed credit decisions. Examples include financial information from borrowers and industry information and market data from various other sources

Experience Required:

  • A general familiarity with: major credit and depository services the bank offers to corporate customers; Federal and State banking regulations; the Bank's operational policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience in a Commercial portfolio management or sales setting preferred.

  • Applicant must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word. Completion of a bank-sponsored commercial credit training program ideal.

As an ambassador for the bank, provides personalized banking services to clients by performing various duties, including cash handling, operates multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers; welcomes and announces visitors to appropriate personnel; and provides support to team members by performing various duties. Including but not limited to the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Is able to express and bestow Old Plank Trail Community Bank's mission to clients - existing/potential, internal/external;
  • Possesses a professional image when greeting and welcoming all guests to the bank and assists as appropriate;
  • Identifies and promotes opportunities to fulfill needs for clients with Old Plank Trail Community Bank's suite of products and services, including: referring clients to our Treasury Management; and our affiliates: Wintrust Wealth Management and Wintrust Mortgage;
  • Processes client transactions, including: deposits; account withdrawals; cashing checks; and sales of cashier's checks, traveler's checks and gift cards, etc.
  • Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen;
  • Accepts loan payments;
  • Removes deposits from and counts and balances cash in automated teller machines (ATM) and night depository;
  • Accepts and prepares wires transfer requests for clients;
  • Assists clients with account inquiries such as: balances, transaction history, item detail, online banking issues, or maintenance, etc.;
  • Fields routine inquiries, such as: rates, types of account Old Plank Trail Community Bank offers, fees for routine services; etc.
  • Performs research and problem solving as needed for clients;
  • Performs account/client maintenance such as: stop payments, funds transfers, ordering/maintenance/ inquiries of debit/ATM cards, and opening/renegotiating basic CDs, etc.;
  • Gathers all necessary information, prepares documentation, opens and maintains personal deposit accounts such as: certificates of deposit, checking, savings, and money markets accounts, etc. Provides ongoing relationship servicing to clients by providing such services as check ordering, on-line banking, debit card issues, address changes, account titling changes, and other account/client maintenance to maintain goodwill and gain additional business;

Experience Required:

  • At least 2 years of progressive banking-related experience required.
  • Prior Customer service, Bank Teller and/or Personal Banking experience is preferred.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential documents and situations
  • Requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Requires strong, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain positive relations with all customers and co-workers.
  • Project a positive image of the bank through a neat appearance and professional manner.
  • Operate a teller drawer to serve customers and/or bank personnel by:
  • Accepting commercial and consumer deposits, verifying cash and endorsements, and processing transactions on the computer.
  • Identify customers vs. non-customers and follow the check cashing policies.
  • Provide additional customer services including cashier's checks, money orders, traveler's cheques, savings bonds, license stickers, stamps, etc.
  • Balance cash drawer daily and follow teller difference policy.
  • Comply with all department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Perform as a team member in allocating and coordinating workflow.
  • Recognize potential cross-sell opportunities and direct customers to appropriate bank personnel.
  • Contribute to the fulfillment of department and bank objectives and goals.
  • May be responsible for bank opening/closing
  • Travel between branches is required; some travel between banks may be necessary
  • May assist with training new employees and answering co-workers questions.
