Jenny Riddle dramatizes and performs songs from the life of Ms. Andrews before she was Mary or Maria in her presentation of Julie Andrews’ memoir, Home: The Early Years. Ron Beckstrom of Golden Rule Coins will join us for an interesting and informative presentation on the history of coins with a focus on U.S. coins. We will learn why we toss a coin to decide an issue and the history of where the name “dollar” came from as well as why we call a quarter “two bits.” Then the real fun begins! The first 25 people who register for this presentation will be able to bring up to 3 coin or currency items to be appraised in front of the group. Ron will be able to provide some history about your coins. So, dig through your dresser drawers and bring in the items you have wondered about! Ron Beckstrom is an independent 3rd party and not affiliated with Wintrust or any of its subsidiaries. Lunch will be provided.
